The video behind the welding helmet is the mouth that seems moving but there is no sound coming out of it, also it is upside down. I used a welding helmet to give a sense of protection. Also on top of the welding helmet, the image of the donkey's ears is printed upside down same as the mouth in the video. It represents that this whole society is upside down. I recently wondered about whether there is freedom of speech. In this society.This work talks about freedom of speech.
우리는용접헬멧을 얼굴과 눈을 보호하기 위하여 쓴다. 눈이 있어야 할 자리에 눈 대신 입이 거꾸로 위치해있다. 그리고 헬멧의 윗부분에는 당나귀의 귀 이미지가 또한 거꾸로 입혀져 있다. 헬멧 속 입 영상은 무엇을 말하는 듯 움직이지만 소리는 들리지 않는다. 나는 민주주의 속 언어의 자유가 진정으로 존재하는지 라는 의구심을 품게 됐다. 앞으로 나아가야 할 우리의 사회가 다시 후퇴하고 있는지 아닌지라는 의미에서 헬멧을 제외한 모든 이미지들을 거꾸로 설치하였다.
