I overlapped my eye with his eye. Images inside are the memories that we share, such as his birthday party, grandma’s birthday, my graduation, and so on. I added my narration which is about how and why my grandpa has become so important in my life and to me. 눈 시리즈는 인생에서 가장 큰 영.. 2014. 3. 27. “Self-portrait1988-2012” mixed media, 20.5 x 20.5 cm (2013) I overlapped my mug shot photos from 1988 to 2012. The face has been divided into two sides to show two aspects: white (good) and dark blue (evil) sides of character. The tear shows my agony and burden. And the Korean traditional paper around my face represents chaos and disruption in my life. 2013. 11. 14. “Ballerina in Toronto” mixed media, 28.5x36cm(each) (2012) This is a triptych. The ballerina in this work represents me. The background image was shot in Toronto where to me is second home. The sky and the tears shed by ballerina connote my internal pain. And the dinosaur in the background represents the obstacle and external pain.
