Because an egg-shell is easy to break, it reminded me of my frail memory. Depending on how well each of our own memory system can function, our history can last or dissipate quickly. Therefore to me, the egg and our memory are related in a way that they can be damaged or destroyed. The image on the eggshell is slightly cracked, similar to my long-term memory: For pe.. 2014. 4. 1. “The Beauty and the beast” mixed media on aluminum mask, 14x20x7cm (2005) This is a mask which has two sides: ugly and pretty sides. Left side is Barbie’s face and right side is ugly looking face that almost looks ridiculous. I chose Barbie as pretty face due to so called her perfect beauty. By putting two completely different faces next to each other, I wanted to compare the beauty and the ugliness. Also by using metal as a main material, it gives the feel of machine.. 2013. 11. 14. For example we both like to eat and we are lazy, crazy, emotional, weird and dumb but we both have warm heart underneath. I chose the radish as my material to work with, since it is one of Kimchi's recipe. I carved the "republic of Korea" in Korean.
