My Work/2006-20074 “Lady Bear(웅녀)” printing making on Han-bok, 28x 42x 12cm (2006-7) It is based on Korean myth-how bear became a woman and gave a birth to the father of Korea. Bear represents a mother of Korea. Also another reason why I chose bear is that I showed up as a bear in my mother’s dream before my birth. So here the bear represents woman in general and also myself. On han-bok (Korean dress), there are images of Korea and Korea’s history. 2013. 11. 14.
