"Divine mother(신성한 어머니)＂는 사람 모양의 파란색 초 54개로 시작됐다. 작업을 시작할 당시 2015년 현존해계신 어머니의 수였다. 파란 초는 "지혜, 조화, 내적인 빛, 평화, 또는 진실과 인도를 협의하거나, 치유, 수면, 직관, 진실, 꿈 등을 의미하고 어떤 이들은 신성한 어머니를 뜻하기도 한다."고 했다. 초를 태우는 과정은 영상에 담고 타고 남은 초들과 함께 영상을 프로젝터로 투사하여 설치한다. 타 들어가는 초는 얼마 남지 않은 어머니들의 시간과 타 들어가는 애타는 마음을 표현한 것이다. 

 

"Divine Mother" began with fifty-four blue, human-shaped candles. When the work was initiated in 2015, this number corresponded to the living survivors of a specific generation of mothers. The blue candle is associated with meanings such as wisdom, harmony, inner light, peace, truth, and guidance; it is also linked to healing, sleep, intuition, dreams, and for some, the presence of the Divine Mother itself.

The process of burning the candles is recorded on video, which is then installed alongside the remnants of the melted candles and projected onto the space. The slowly burning candles symbolize the limited time remaining for these mothers, as well as the anxious and heartbreaking emotions that accompany their gradual disappearance.
